Pull request previews
Opt in to private preview deployments for GitHub pull requests. Previews are built for same-repository pull requests, never receive Production secrets, and expire when idle.
Turn previews on
Pull request previews are off by default. Open the app's GitHub integration settings and turn on pull request previews. Only an owner, admin or builder can change this. Turning previews off stops new ones; existing previews are not deleted.
Which pull requests build
- The pull request comes from a branch in the same repository. Forks are ignored.
- It targets the app's default branch.
- It is opened, reopened or updated with new commits.
Each pull request gets its own private preview environment, named after its number. Aozumi reports progress back on the pull request.
Preview secrets
Expiry and cleanup
A preview expires after 7 days without updates. Closing the pull request marks its preview for cleanup and cancels a preview build that is still in progress. Expired runtimes are suspended by a scheduled cleanup. To share an expired preview, renew the environment first.
Questions
- Does Aozumi deploy every pull request automatically?
- Only if you turn on pull request previews for the app. They are off by default.
- Are pull requests from forks deployed?
- No. Only pull requests from the same repository that target the app's default branch are built, so code from outside your repository never runs with your app's settings.
